Adoption Timeline

July 25, 2017 – Travel to pick up Jorgensen!
July 18, 2017 – Received passport
July 10, 2017  – USCIS approval
July 4, 2017 – Received passport (long wait because of some corruption in the passport department in Haiti)
April 10, 2017 – Exited MOI (Immigration).
March 27, 2017 – Received our adoption decree for Jorgensen Baltic. He’s officially ours and we are his!
December 9, 2016 – Exited IBESR
September 16-30 –In Haiti for our 14 day trip to meet and get to know our son (bonding trip).
September 6, 2016 – Received phone call that we received our referral for our little boy in Haiti! Started planning our 14 day trip to haiti to meet him.
June 25, 2015 – Received a phone call from Lifeline that they found a little boy at the crèche, chances for children, that they hope to match us with.  We don’t have an official referral but hope to get one for this little guy.
April 1, 2015 – Our Dossier was submitted to IBESR. Given a 6-12 month timeline from this date until we get a referral.
January 21, 2015 – Received I-600A approval in the mail. Mailed Dossier to our agency to be translated to Creole and then sent to Haiti.
November 2014 – January 2015
– Waiting on paperwork back from authentication approval and our I-600A immigration approval back.
August-October 2014 – working on updating our home study and dossier for Haiti.
August 2014 – Made the decision to switch our adoption country to Haiti instead of Ethiopia.
June 1, 2014 – Email from Dove that we are #26 on the referral waiting list.
March 31, 2014 – Received word from Dove (our Ethiopian agency) that we are #29 on the referral waiting list. Now we wait for 2-3 years for a referral!
March 5, 2014
 – Received POA and approved I-600A back from state level and mailed Dossier to our Agency in Oregon. Our Dossier will not go from Oregon to Washington (for higher levels to sign off on) then back to Oregon and then eventually to Ethiopia. Then we will be put on a waiting list for our son!
February 13, 2014 – Sent two documents to Tallahassee for state authentication.
February 12, 2014 – received letter in mail that I-600A was approved (Immigration approval).
December 17, 2013 –  I-600A mailed to USCIS
December 12, 2013 – Homestudy finalized
December 11, 2013 – Final phone interview
November 26-December 5, 2013 – Finished all our medical exams, video training and final paperwork
November 25, 2013 – Third and final in person interview
November 12, 2013 – Individual interviews
October 19-November 11, 2013 – Finished our biographies, 10 Hague Online Training, and lots of other paperwork completed and turned in to our agency.
October 18, 2013 – Home study at our house
September 30, 2013 – Orientation completed with our agency
September 24, 2013 – Marriage survey taken
September 23, 2013 – First set of paperwork and first payment mailed to our agency.
September 16, 2013 – Email sent out to all family members letting them know about the new addition to our family
September 16, 2013 – Adoption application and fee turned in to our agency
November 7, 2011 – Emma Joy Baltic Born
October 19, 2009 – Owen Mitchell Baltic Born
June 11, 2005 – Emil and Angie got hitched!
